We're folk rock americana trio, two guitars, one bass guitar, three voices. We're most known for lovely harmonies and humor. We like love songs, sometimes with a side of sarcasm, maybe about a monster, maybe about cats. We've been playing around Staunton for five years now, most often at Redbeard.

Yoga with Molly Jenkins & Music by Bristol Of New York

I will be offering a Yoga Nidra practice which is similar to a guided meditation. Here we will tap into our parasympathetic nervous system to help us relieve stress, anxiety, and allow our mind and body to rest while we are awake.
I have been a Valley Resident since 2008 but have always lived in the State of Virginia. I am a certified Yoga Instructor and Reiki healer. I have been a teaching yoga for over 2 years at Phoenix Fitness and Yoga, but have been a student for over 15 years. Yoga and meditation caused a profound positive shift in my life during the pandemic. It was then and, my passion for teaching, that started my new career as a yoga instructor and a healer. I look forward to helping others find ways to relax, destress, and move through with whatever life throws our way.

Sarah White & The New Band

Sarah White & The New Band

Born and raised in the two Virginias, Sarah White’s musical style is as familiar as it is hard to define - not quite country, not quite rock, not quite folk - but a little bit like all of the above. A chameleon-like performer with ever changing line-ups, White has grown into a talented songwriter with a sizable body of poignant, catchy, and moving songs.

White started her career in the late 90’s with two albums of mysterious, lo-fi, experimental folk-rock on the popular Jagjaguwar label. Her 1997 debut All My Skies Are Blue, was a collection of 4-track recordings pressed straight to CD. In 2000 she released her first studio album, the stunningly original Bluebird which The San Francisco Bay Guardian described as:

“A delicately bare and pretty album that ensures the singer-songwriter a place in the company of Cat Power’s Chan Marshall and Edith Frost. Yep, that good.”

“Sarah’s music kills me, beautifully from the ground up, no plastic.” — Dave Matthews

Sarah performs solo and with the band and wields a well-worn Jumbo Gibson acoustic. She has performed with Merle Haggard, Justin Townes Earle, Earl Scruggs, Will Oldham, Dave Matthews Band Caravan and was once named Best Songwriter in her hometown of Charlottesville, Va.

Anmara

Annabeth is the ethereal force behind Anmara, a project merging organic synth-pop, dreamy ambient folk, and “post new-age” into sonic catharsis. Echoing strains of Enya and Florence & The Machine, she invites us on a journey of emotional exploration and beckons us not just to listen, but to dive deep and fall in love with life anew.

Inspired by both inner and outer landscapes, her latest album, 'Make Belief', offers riveting escapist fantasies. She is currently self-producing a concept album called "New the Old" (with the help of her loyal patrons) which seeks to heal the rift between humans and nature with a modern twist on ancient ways.

The word Anmara refers to a mystical land made manifest when we cultivate HARMONY- between self, others, and planet. She is developing a set of sounds that range from peaceful and meditative to energized and dance-able in order to take people on a 5-rhythms inspired audio adventure, with the constant invitation to not just consume the music but to become embodied and transformed by it.

At an Anmara concert, prepare to be transported on the wings of whimsy, only to wind up back in the center of your Self.

The Milestones

The Milestones

The Milestones were birthed by longtime friends Alex Wandres and CJ Metz in a dingy Baltimore warehouse, where guitars would roar well into the night. As they emerged from that seedy void of a practice space, often as the sun was getting ready to rise, some kind of rugged, raucous, and righteous rock n roll came out with them. Now joined by drummer Devin Ritts and Owen Fuste on bass, the band has refined the rawness of their initial sound and sculpted it into their own brand of infectious indie dance rock, rife with carefully crafted hooks over expansive guitar soundscapes. If you're able to catch them live and witness the charisma that these 4 musicians share while they let loose on stage, you will understand they never lost the explosive energy of those original late night jam sessions - that storm just keeps rollin' on.
